Hi duncancroft,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

Asmedia SATA driver/AHCI driver for. Win 7 (32/64bit) but Windows 8.1 & 10 only 64-bit (maybe 32 too, try.) Install with setup.exe or Device. Manager update + the driver and.inf. Files in Driver stahci amd64. Driver_win10 stahci amd64 for 64-bit driver. For the 32-bit driver/INF files, it's Driver_win10 stahci i386. The driver package provides the installation files for Asmedia ASM-106x Sata 6G controller Drivers Version 3.2.3.0 WHQL. If you consider updating this driver package by Driver Genius, all you need to do is clicking the Update button beside this driver update.

ASMedia E-SATA driver crashing windows 10

Hey guys, The windows 10 upgrade has been great so far, other than the ASMedia E-Sata port i use for external hard drives.

When installed i periodically get a hard lock, blue screen (i assume the new BSOD with frown face :( ) which states 'driver power state failure'. The crash detail tool.. which i can't remember the name of mentions the driver by name and when uninstalled it doesn't happen so i'm confident that is the culprit.

I have an Asrock z87 extreme 4 or 6 i can't remember which and as far as my google-fu shows i don't think a driver exists for windows 10.

I imagine this is a rare problem but does anyone have a potential fix idea or better link to a new driver that doesn't involve a website written in french?

Sata

Thanks!
