On a stream - which you can watch here - Socksy called over the PR at Capcom to confirm there'll be no preload for Monster Hunter World on PC.
That means that the timings you can see in the paragraph below will be the soonest you can start downloading.

Personally, I love this game. I've played a few of the previous games and found the style to be enjoyable. No, this game will not hold your hand. You are expected to use your head and think. Take your time and observes the monsters' behavior patterns, learn the combos for the weapon you chose, do not button mash, upgrade your gear if you can't kill it before it leaves the area, learn elemental weaknesses, do not be ashamed of running away, pick up everything (even dung is useful) but do not forget to put it in your item box, never sell anything early game and never expect to be godly strong EVER. This game is not for those who are impatient. It is not for those who are not willing to take the time and understand things. This is the first time the Monster Hunter series has come to Xbox. The game is only a week old as of this review posting. It takes time to locate the cause and write the code to fix bugs. Remember if you do not like the game, you do not have to play the game. ✌✌
