I have often said I would love to pay the BBC my hard-earned money for their content, and now it’s possible. In an interview with The Guardian, Nick Coulter, BBC’s head of digital, said that this was a core reason behind the decision.
“The technology is very interesting and used in lots of different ways, but for us what’s particularly appealing is that the BitTorrent clients have a huge global reach, and that’s something we don’t necessarily have. I've pirated Who because I don't have BBC America. I've already purchased the first season of NuWho, and even though this bundle includes three episodes from that season, I just bought it anyway. I find that my purchases of video content has increased substantially since I pirated.
I would like to see some special collections just as Star Trek did with time travel, borg, and so forth. How about Earth Menaced (favorite episodes where Earth is the victim) and Earth Menacing (where Earth was the aggressor), Dalek-table, and so forth. I bought some of the Trek collections even though I already had the series. The collections should have some original material.
Question: Isn't is already available in the torrent sites, that too, at no cost involved? O_O

Great idea, Beeb! Yes, making the entire Who catalogue available in this manner is an idea whose time has come. Don't stop at the Doctor... allow people to buy other content in the same way. Blake's 7, Red Dwarf, Blackadder and many others would cause my money to flow into the coffers of the BBC.
What took them so long! If you can't beat them join them right. And why not make some money off of loyal fans that have no other way of accessing the content. I hope this becomes the next best thing, but only if they keep it cost effective for both consumer and supplier. No need to get greedy and screw your fans.
